Los océanos y los mares han estado generando vida desde el comienzo de los tiempos. Cubren el 70% de la superficie del planeta y son imprescindibles para la supervivencia de todas las especies que habitan en la Tierra. Pero el impacto de la actividad humana, la sobre explotación pesquera, la contaminación y el cambio climático amenazan cada vez mas su sostenibilidad y biodiversidad generando impactos ambientales irreversibles.
En esta instalación e inspirados por la inmensidad y belleza de las aguas submarinas en perpetuo movimiento, te acercamos a un mundo imaginario y onírico dónde una gran masa de agua repleta de criaturas fantásticas rebosa de luz y color el espacio de la Plaza de la Virgen Blanca de Vitoria.
Ozeanoak eta itsasoak bizia sortzen aritu dira munduaren hastapenetatik. Planetaren azaleraren % 70 estaltzen dute eta ezinbestekoak dira Lurrean bizi diren espezie guztien biziraupenerako. Baina giza jardueraren inpaktuak, arrantza ustiapenak, kutsadurak eta klima aldaketak gero eta gehiago mehatxatzen dituzte haren iraunkortasuna eta biodibertsitatea, eta ingurumen inpaktu atzeraezinak sortzen dituzte.
Instalazio honetan, eta etengabeko mugimenduan dauden urpeko uren neurrigabetasun eta edertasunean inspiratuta, irudimenezko mundu oniriko batera hurbilduko zaitugu, non Gasteizko Andre Maria Zuriaren Plazako espazioa argiz eta kolorez gainezka agertzen baita izaki fantastikoz beteriko ur masa handi batean.
The oceans and seas have been generating life since the beginning of time. They cover 70% of the planet’s surface and are essential for the survival of all species living on Earth. But the impact of human activity, overfishing, pollution and climate change are increasingly threatening their sustainability and biodiversity, generating irreversible environmental impacts. In this installation and inspired by the immensity and beauty of the underwater waters in perpetual motion, we bring you closer to an imaginary and dreamlike world where a large body of water full of fantastic creatures, overflows with light and colour the space of the “Plaza de la Virgen Blanca” in Vitoria.
