uan Gómez-Cornejo (A.A.I.) Iluminador y director técnico con más de 40 años de trayectoria en teatro, ópera, danza y musicales. Reconocido con el Premio Nacional de Teatro (2011), la Medalla de Oro al Mérito en las Bellas Artes (2023), cuatro Premios Max y cinco ADE. Representó a España en la Cuatrienal de Praga 2019 con Fragmentos del Alma, expuesta también en el Light Festival UMBRA 2022, y en 2018 con Las monedas de Caronte en la Cripta de la Catedral Santa María. Profesor del Máster de Creación Teatral (Universidad Carlos III) y creador de Detener el tiempo, instalada en el Estanque del Retiro (Luz Madrid 2024).

In 2022, UNESCO declared the manual ringing of bells a Cultural Intangible Heritage of Humanity. Historically, this practice has been linked to both religious rituals and social events.
Under the theme “ART IS PEACE”, this year’s festival seeks to convey a message of hope and harmony. As a prologue for every evening BELLS OF PEACE will be accompanying citizens on their route. For that, the festival will count on three of the most iconic bell towers in Vitoria-Gasteiz. From these towers, beams of infinite light will soar through the skies, marking the passing of time and and harmony.
